Its fall in Colorado and It is absolutely beautiful! The leaves have turned colors and it seems as if the tree-line has various colors of gold, with specks of reds, browns, and other colors splattered through them – it reminds me of the martial arts movie called “Hero.” As I was walking back to my house this morning after dropping off my daughter at school, I unexpectedly was over-taken by all the fall colors around me. It was as if my eyes suddenly became open to the fall season. As I stood there captivated by the smells and colors of fall, my memory was transported back to when I was a kid growing up in Northern California. I stood looking all around me, day-dreaming about the long walk that I had to do to and from middle school and the job of racking leaves. What was funny, was that I was wearing shorts, a hoodie, and flip-flops; the same kind of clothes that I would wear back in California during the fall season.
This is our first fall in Colorado, and I have a feeling that I am going to love it! Colorado feels like home and this is a good thing, because I don’t miss California as much as I did when I lived back in Missouri? I don’t know about what other people like, but fall is my favorite time of the year 🙂
